Ecological Humidity Project in Lushi County, Henan Province

In recent years, Henan's Sanmenxia has undertaken substantial efforts in water quality protection and water ecological restoration, particularly in the Wulichuan River Basin management project located within the water source conservation area of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project.

Monitoring Indicators

Monitoring of centralized drinking water sources: Regular monitoring is conducted for centralized domestic drinking water sources within the urban area to ensure the safety of residential water supply. Monitoring parameters comply with the Groundwater Quality Standard.

River water quality improvement and monitoring: Measures such as mine remediation, surface water pollution control, construction of high-efficiency water purification plants, and ecological wetlands have been implemented to improve the water quality of the Wulichuan River and its tributaries. Continuous monitoring of these water bodies is carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of the management efforts.

Monitoring indicators: pH value, dissolved oxygen (DO), chemical oxygen demand (COD), five-day biochemical oxygen demand (BOD₅), ammonia nitrogen (NH₃-N), total phosphorus (TP), heavy metal content, etc.

Monitoring Frequency

The monitoring frequency varies depending on the type of water source and the stage of management. In key areas, daily or weekly monitoring may be required, while routine indicators may be monitored monthly or quarterly.
