Water Quality Online Monitoring Project in Yueyang City, Hunan Province

This project aims to achieve real-time monitoring of key water quality parameters in rivers by deploying a network of sensors and data acquisition equipment.

Project Objectives

Improve understanding of river water quality conditions.

Monitoring Parameters

The monitoring parameters include pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), electrical conductivity, turbidity, temperature, ammonia nitrogen, total phosphorus, and total nitrogen. These indicators help assess water quality status and identify potential sources of pollution.

Technical Approach

Sensor Network: Multiple monitoring points are established along the river, with each point equipped with corresponding water quality sensors.

Data Transmission System: Utilizes wireless or wired communication technologies to transmit real-time monitoring data to a data center.

Data Analysis Platform: A centralized software platform that receives, stores, and analyzes data from all monitoring points, providing a visual interface to display water quality trends.

Implementation Steps

Planning and Design Phase: Determine the monitoring area, select monitoring point locations, choose monitoring parameters, and define the technical approach.

Equipment Installation and Commissioning: Install sensors and other hardware according to the design plan, and perform commissioning to ensure proper operation.
