Water Quality Monitoring Project for Hydropower Stations
With socio-economic development and increasing public awareness of environmental protection, water quality monitoring of water bodies surrounding hydropower stations and other water infrastructure has become particularly important. During power generation, hydropower stations may have certain impacts on surrounding water bodies, such as temperature changes and chemical substance leaks. Project Objectives
Real‑time Monitoring: Establish a complete online water quality monitoring system to achieve 24/7 uninterrupted monitoring of water quality upstream and downstream of the hydropower station.
Data Analysis: Utilize advanced data processing techniques to analyze trends in water quality parameters and predict potential risks.
Early Warning Mechanism: Provide timely alerts when anomalies are detected, enabling appropriate emergency response measures to be taken.
Decision Support: Provide a scientific basis for relevant authorities to help formulate sound water resource management and environmental protection policies.
Monitoring Parameters
Physical Indicators: Water temperature, pH, turbidity.
Chemical Indicators: Dissolved oxygen, ammonia nitrogen, total phosphorus, total nitrogen.
Technical Approach
Sensor Network: Deploy water quality sensors at key locations to collect various water quality parameters.
Data Transmission: Upload data to a server or cloud platform using wireless communication technologies.
Data Management and Visualization: Develop a dedicated data management system to achieve data storage, processing, and visual display.
Remote Control and Maintenance: Support remote diagnostics and upgrade capabilities to reduce operation and maintenance costs.
