Buoy-type Water Quality Monitor


The buoy-type online water quality monitoring station is an intelligent water quality monitoring device that adopts a water surface buoy as the carrier, enabling long-term unattended floating operation on water. It serves as an important supplement to traditional fixed monitoring stations for deployment in complex water areas and long-distance scenarios.
Traditional shore-based monitoring stations feature large land occupation, long construction cycles, and complicated water intake projects. Microorganisms growing in pipelines tend to affect the accuracy of water samples, making it difficult to set effective monitoring points in reservoir centers, deep lake areas, estuaries and other similar waters. The buoy-type monitoring station completely breaks such limitations. It requires no land acquisition or station construction, and no underwater cable laying. It can be directly deployed in the central water area to achieve full water area coverage and all-weather continuous real-time monitoring.
The device is powered by a combined system of solar panels and high-capacity storage batteries, ensuring stable operation for multiple days even under continuous rainy and overcast weather. It fundamentally solves the problem of no mains power access at field monitoring sites. The system transmits monitoring data to the cloud monitoring platform in real time via 4G wireless communication. Managers can check water quality dynamics anytime and anywhere through computers or mobile phones, and the system will automatically trigger an alarm once any indicator is abnormal. In addition, the device is equipped with a GPS positioning module to track the buoy position in real time, facilitating pollution source tracing and equipment anti-theft management.
The multi-parameter water quality sensors equipped on the station can continuously monitor water temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, electrical conductivity, turbidity, ammonia nitrogen, COD, chlorophyll-a, blue-green algae and other water quality parameters. Some models support optional extended indicators such as total phosphorus, total nitrogen, oil in water and nitrate. It is widely applied to real-time water quality monitoring and early warning management in drinking water source areas, rivers and lakes, reservoirs and ponds, aquaculture zones, estuaries, urban inland rivers, black and odorous water bodies and other water environments.
